Scotland – 8 April 2024

Border Physio Clinic, located near Melrose, is delighted to announce that local physiotherapist Amy French has acquired the clinic, ushering in an exciting new chapter for the long-established practice. Amy, an experienced healthcare professional with a passion for wellness, is committed to maintaining the clinic’s high standard of expert physiotherapy services while introducing new, innovative offerings.

Current owner Daniel Pulman will remain actively involved at the clinic, continuing to deliver his renowned physiotherapy services to both existing and new patients. The experienced team – including physiotherapists, an acupuncturist, an orthopaedic consultant (offering joint injections), and massage therapists – will also continue to provide their excellent care.

Under Amy’s leadership, Border Physio Clinic will expand its services to include Reformer Pilates classes, aimed at improving strength, flexibility, and rehabilitation outcomes. Additional specialised assessments and rehabilitation classes will also be introduced to further support patients in their recovery and promote long-term well-being.

“I am thrilled to take on the ownership of such a well-respected clinic,” said Amy French. “My goal is to build on the fantastic work Daniel has done over the years and to introduce services that will further support our community’s health and wellness. Together with Daniel and the team, we will continue to provide expert physiotherapy care while broadening our approach to meet the evolving needs of our patients.”

Daniel Pulman, who has successfully managed Border Physio Clinic for many years, expressed his confidence in the future of the clinic. “I am excited about the future of the clinic under Amy’s ownership. Her vision and passion for health and rehabilitation will undoubtedly bring fresh energy while maintaining the high quality of care our patients expect,” said Daniel.

Message from Amy:

“Having begun my Physiotherapy career at the Borders General Hospital over 20 years ago and living on a farm near Stow for nearly a decade, I’m absolutely thrilled to take on the ownership of such a well-respected clinic in this beautiful part of the Scottish borders.  My aim is to build on the outstanding work that Daniel and Sally have done over the years and to introduce new services that further support the health and wellbeing of our local community. Together with Daniel and the fantastic team, we will continue to deliver expert care while broadening our approach to meet the evolving needs of our patients.”

Throughout this transition, the clinic will remain dedicated to delivering top-tier physiotherapy services tailored to each individual’s needs. The expert team will continue offering remedial and sports massage therapy, acupuncture, orthopaedic assessments, and joint injections. Amy’s planned introduction of Reformer Pilates and additional rehabilitation classes is designed to support individuals at every stage of recovery, as well as those seeking to enhance their overall physical well-being.
